EconCore speaks at Dubai Plast Pro - a perspective for discovering of the Middle East markets

Between 15 and 17 Ocober 2012 EconCore, together with the partner company - Itochu Corporation, had the chance to present the ThermHex technology at the Dubai Plast Pro conference. It is one of the most recognized conferences of the plastic industry in the Middle East and Asia. The event attracts not only local visitors, but also people from all over the world. 
The Middle East polymer processing industry is at a turning point. The emphasis is shifting to higher value performance polymer technologies, production, and processing with increasing requirements for the converting and fabricating industry. This brings along challenges, but also great opportunities. 
EconCore presented the ThermHex honeycomb panel solutions for reusable PP packaging as a cost effective alternative to less performing PP flutes boards or cup shaped panels. The perspectives of the technology in other market segments, particularly B&C, were also discussed. A new joint development of EconCore and Toray was unveiled at this occasion – a thermoplastic honeycomb based on Toray’s NANOALLOY TM showing exceptional impact energy absorption behavior.
Presenting at the Dubai Plast Pro was the perfect opportunity to get to know the Middle East markets.  The presentation on the EconCore’s innovative technology attracted a lot of attention and met very positive feedback. We look forward to developing business in the Middle East!
